My story

I started off college with a desire to change the world. That passion took me to the LBJ School of Public Affairs at UT Austin. Upon graduation, I set off on a path of public service where I have dedicated 25 years to advancing and administering effective solutions to address some of our most pressing health and social needs.

Experience
My experience includes 14 years at the nonpartisan Texas Legislative Budget Board where I authored 25 published legislative reports with recommendations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of Texas state government programs and operations. During this time, I testified before Texas state budget and policy committees and briefed legislative leadership on the fiscal and policy implications of health and human services legislation. I also spent 7 years at Texas state government health and human services agencies working on policy development and evaluation. For the last 4 years, I have provided health and human services policy, research, and writing expertise to public and private sector clients.
